Characteristics of Candi Sembrada
Sembadra Temple At first glance it looks like a multi-storey building, because the roof is a cube that is almost the same size as its size. The roof top has been destroyed, so the original shape is no longer visible. On the four sides of the roof there are also small niches like the place to put a statue.
The Sembadra Temple building has a small size when compared to the temples in the other Arjuna complex, the temple has a size of 4.75 x 5.50 m, Batur temple is about 50 cm high with a square floor plan. When we go around the temple building this, in the middle of the south, east and north there is a part that protrudes outward, forming a niche like the viewer booth.
The entrance is located on the west side, and is equipped with a viewer booth. The presence of booths on the west side and niches on the other three sides make the body shape of the temple look like a polygon. On the yard there is a stone arranged as a path to the door.
Although this temple is far from perfect, because many of the parts of this temple have disappeared and some of the rocks that make up this temple have been eroded by rain and heat but, this temple is still standing tall to accompany other temples such as the Arjuna temple (in the puppet story as her husband). but according to the residents’ information and information circulating around this, the Sembadra temple for the spiritual community actually saves a full mystical feel because the temple is used as one of the places of worship of the Main God Siwa.
