Crater Sileri is a vast volcanic area and is the most extensive crater in the Dieng Plateau. This crater is named the crater of Sileri taken from the designation of the local community who saw the color of the water from the lake white or like Leri (Rice Laundry Rice) because this crater was called the Sileri crater, this crater was formerly known as Telaga Leri because it was a lake area which is quite extensive, but because of frequent vukanologi activities there, it is now better known as the Sileri crater.
Because to reach the rim of the crater we have to cross a fairly steep cliff so for safety when traveling and want to see the phenomena that occur in the crater of Sileri we are only allowed to observe it from the monitoring post on the hill, about 100 meters from the rim of the crater.
